It is University policy that all our workplaces are smoke free, including University vehicles. Smoking is not permitted in or immediately outside any buildings on the University campuses.
Separate arrangements may apply in any external areas provided by the Students’ Union.
Your surgery may offer a smoking cessation clinic, with a specialist practitioner. Your GP, practice nurse or pharmacist will be able to advise.

You can phone the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) at any time to talk to a qualified counsellor about smoking. The EAP’s own website includes a Tobacco Cessation Plan and a cost calculator (both under Tools and Programmes). It also carries a lot of information on tobacco, as well as factors that may for some people contribute to smoking, for example coping with change.
