The Social Impact Dissertation Prize aims to recognise and honour outstanding undergraduate students at the University of Southampton who have undertaken impactful research in their dissertations.
The Social Impact Dissertation Prize is aimed at undergraduate students at the University of Southampton who are currently submitting their dissertations. We accept applications from students across all faculties who have conducted research that addresses a social challenge at the local, national, or international level.
The research findings should have the potential to inform policy makers, businesses, and/or third sector organizations in tackling pressing social issues.
Applications for the dissertation prize will be assessed according to the following criteria:
To apply for the Dissertation Prize, you must complete an application form where you provide a summary of your dissertation and describe the social impact of your dissertation. Applicants then have the option to submit a 2-minute video OR a PowerPoint slide explaining the importance of their research and the social implementations.
