Entry requirements

Foundation year entry requirements
If you do not have the traditional entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, you may be able to qualify by doing one of our foundation programmes first. To find out more, visit our foundation year page or contact the International Office team .
Undergraduate entry requirements
To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:
| High grades in CAPE |
| High grades in UK A levels |
| Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) |
| High grades in Associate Degree from Barbados Community College |
Postgraduate entry requirements
| Masters programmes | Good grades in bachelors degree awarded by a recognised Caribbean university or an equivalent professional qualification approved by the University |
| PhD programmes | Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university, and a strong research proposal |
English language entry requirements
Students from Barbados do not need to take an English language test to demonstrate their level of English proficiency. Find out more about our English language requirements and support .
The Barbadian student community
We are pleased to welcome students from Barbados to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 2 Barbadian students studying with us.
Student-run clubs and societies
Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
