International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) | General Secondary Education Certificate (Shahadat Al Thanawiya Al Aama), achieving at least 85% overall with 85% in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course |
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science and geophysics) | General Secondary Education Certificate (Shahadat Al Thanawiya Al Aama), achieving at least 85% overall with 85% in maths and physics. |

To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:
High grades in UK A levels |
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) |
Recognised foundation courses taken in the UK, Australia and Canada |
Masters programmes |
Bachelors degree awarded from a recognised university achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 UK 1st equivalent: GPA 3.65- 4.0 out of 4.0 or 84% - 100% UK 2.1 equivalent: GPA 3.0-3.64 out of 4.0 or 76% - 83.9% Students who have achieved a GPA 2.80 out of 4.0 or 74% with 2 years' work experience may be considered |
PhD programmes | Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university, and a strong research proposal |

We are pleased to welcome students from Kuwait to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 27 Kuwaiti students studying with us.
Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
