  Entry requirements

Foundation year entry requirements

International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) Lebanese Baccalaureate, achieving an overall grade 15 with 15 in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics and geophysics) Lebanese Baccalaureate, achieving a minimum of 16/20
Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses) Lebanese Baccalaureate, achieving an overall grade 15 with 15 in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course

Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine.

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

High grades in UK A levels
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB)
French Baccalaureate with a minimum grade of 14 Assez Bien overall
French Baccalaureate avec Option Internationale with a minimum grade of 13 Assez Bien overall
Recognised Foundation courses taken in the UK, Australia and Canada

Postgraduate entry requirements

Masters programmes

Bachelors degree / Maitrise / Licence awarded from a recognised university achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or 12 out of 20

UK 1st equivalent: GPA 3.65- 4.0 out of 4.0 or 84% - 100%; 14 out of 20

UK 2.1 equivalent: GPA 3.0-3.64 out of 4.0 or 76% - 83.9%; 12 out of 20

Students who have achieved a GPA 2.80 out of 4.0 or 74% with 2 years' work experience may be considered

Diplome d'Ingenieur / Diplome from a Grande Ecole with minimum grade 12 / Mention Bien or Assez bien - for some programmes, applicants may be considered after Year 2 of their Diplome studies

PhD programmes

Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees (Master, Mastere specialise, Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies or Diplome d'Etudes Superieures Specialisees)

English language entry requirements

  The Lebanese student community

We are pleased to welcome students from Lebanon to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 23 Lebanese students studying with us.

Student-run clubs and societies

Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
