We are delighted to announce the establishment of the new interdisciplinary Work Futures Research Centre. The Centre will provide an innovative cross-University platform for studying changing forms of work and organisation unlike any other research centre in the UK at present. Our aim is to develop collaborative research and funding on all aspects of work futures, linked for example to the digital economy, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, education and training, workplace design and ‘generation Y’.
The Centre is funded by the School of Social Sciences and by the Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences and will be running a series of networking meetings and seminars as well as a formal launch event in May 2009.
