About the play
The Forsyte Saga charts the progress of a well-to-do London dynasty, weaving a tale of love, obsession and deceit through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
From Soames’ possessive love for Irene, to June’s thwarted passion for Philip Bossinney, through to the breach of trust between Old Jolyon Forsyte and his wayward son, this hugely thrilling drama brings John Galsworthy’s classic novel to life.
Following on from two hugely successful television productions, The Southampton University Players bring this tale of passion, betrayal and ultimately redemption to The Nuffield Theatre between 20th – 24th January 2009. Tickets £12 (£10 concessions or on production of staff ID card).
