Coaching and Training Services (CATS), who provide IT training and deskside coaching for all staff and research postgraduate students at the University, has been shortlisted for the IT Training Department of the Year (Public Sector) award. A total of 6 departments nationwide are shortlisted and bronze, silver and gold awards are awarded.
This success follows CATS’ recent Institute of IT Training (IITT) accreditation. The accreditation programme is recognised as the de facto standard in the IT training industry and provides the standard of excellence against which internal training departments are benchmarked and accredited. It confirms that we follow processes and procedures that demonstrate conformance to the IITT Code of Practice.
“We are overjoyed to have been awarded our accreditation after our first assessment. This is a confirmation of our belief that the service we provide is professionally managed and delivered and is well placed to provide maximum returns for the University.” Julie Knight, manager of Coaching and Training Services.
“The Coaching and Training Service is applauded for its commitment to quality, its receptiveness to new ideas and the desire to continuously improve.” Kim Moore, IITT Accreditation Consultant.
“The Coaching and Training service is a core function within iSolutions and reflects the customer-focused nature of IT service provision. CATS have played a significant part in helping raise the profile of IT at the University through promoting the development of user ICT skills.” Ian Tebbett, Director of iSolutions
