Organisations know what they know, and do what they can do. They are limited in their ability to survive, grow and compete by the assets they own; their people, their business processes and their support systems.
But what if the organisation had someone who could convince other organisations (lets call them suppliers or potential suppliers) to provide additional know-how, extra capacity and emerging technology free of charge? And even better, to provide these extra assets uniquely to them or at least before others got them; how much would that be worth to the organisation?
All this is possible for those that understand the power of cutting edge procurement. And we can see a direct correlation between leading organisations and investments they make in procurement.
This talk will inform and motivate you to get closer to procurement. You will be surprised how management is often poorly informed and the size of opportunities that surround us in both private and public sector organisations who do not yet understand how to use procurement.
We all do procurement, both in our private life and as part of organisations we belong to so let us discuss how good it can get and what prizes await those that choose to take the initiative.
The talk will cover:
What is great procurement
Why it is vital but so difficult to cooperate and collaborate
The signals that your organisation sends to others
What makes procurement such an exciting place to be
Why procurement should be part of a top talent career path.
