Continuing Today: Learning and Teaching Week 2009

 

There will be sessions today from WSA (the use of Web 2.0 applications) and Chemistry (Enhancing Learning in the Lab: Online pre lab activities) from Dr David Read.

 

E.A. Draffan will be presenting her hints and tips on technologies for easier learning with students who are disabled or have dyslexia.

 

There will also be a presentation from John Mills (FESM Foundation Year) with Pat Maier on Strategies for the development of academic skills base for students and a look at the new ‘Enhancing Students Employability Skills’ DVD from Humanities (a Learning and Teaching Enhancement Funded Project) from Dr Paul Cooper.

 

Student Services also have local events running as they have an open day for both Student Support and Student Services. One central session from Student Services is Supporting Students with Asperger’s Syndrome run by Marjory Webber.
