The University’s Societies Festival, organised by members of the Students’ Union, aims to bring the local community and the University closer together, to celebrate what happens at the University away from degree study and showcase the talents of our students. The Mayor of Southampton, Brian Parnell, and members of staff and the Students’ Union will also be speaking at the event at 1pm.
The Societies Festival takes place on Saturday 25 April from 12-4pm on the Highfield campus. A large number of diverse student societies will present their activities in areas around the Highfield campus. There will be 52 stalls, 21 stage performances, 18 presentations, funfair dodgems, a BBQ, a farmers’ market and some world-record-breaking challenges.
