Travel Survey Prize-winners Announced.

This year’s survey of the travel habits of staff and postgraduate research students was a resounding success with a response rate of 27 per cent which means that 2‚775 of you took part – so a big “Thank-you” to all who took the time to complete the survey.

When the survey closed‚ a draw was made from all eligible entries to allocate the first prize of a pair of Eurostar tickets and the three runners–up prizes of an iPod. Senior Deputy Vice–Chancellor Adam Wheeler presented the prizes to Dr Graham Gilchrist‚ who won the Eurostar tickets‚ and to runners up Sally Bailey, Robert Kumsta, and Anthony McDonald.

The results of the Travel Survey will be published later in the autumn as part of an ongoing project to look at how we can reduce our reliance on cars for travelling to and from work and encourage people to use active travel, e.g. walking or cycling, whenever possible for their daily commute to work.
