Winchester School of Art exhibition in the Hartley Library

Language Lessons, an exhibition by Winchester School of Art students, will be on display in the Hartley Library gallery space until 7 January.

The use of language in art has a long and varied history that includes everything from illustrated manuscripts to websites. Language is arguably what most distinguishes us from the rest of the animal kingdom and as such it is not surprising that it occupies such a key place in the development of modern art.

14 Fine Art students are exhibiting a range of works including prints, paintings, sculpture, collage, installation, neon and video.

Staff are invited to attend a drinks reception in the gallery space on 7 December at 4pm.

Questions about the exhibition can be sent to Nick Stewart – [email protected]
