This note is relevant to managers of temporary workers and current temporary workers.
A decision has been made by senior management of the University regarding temporary workers and the snow closure days. If temporary workers attended work on Thursday 2 December‚ prior to the University closure‚ they should be paid for the standard hours they would have usually undertaken had the University not closed early. Those temporary workers who did not come in to work on Thursday will not be paid.
The University made the decision that staff/workers should not attend work on Friday due to Health and Safety reasons and as such temporary workers will not be paid for Friday 3 December.
