Booking now open for International Women's Day events

A diverse programme of events has been created to take place from 7–9 March 2011 (with the Campbell lecture on 1 March 2011).

Events include the ‘IWD Photography Competition’ (prizes of £200‚ £100 and £50) with extended deadline to 20 February 2011.

Strengthen your self–confidence through fun exercises with the masterful Deena Gornick at the ‘Conquering the Imposter Syndrome’ event.

Discover the amazing facts about women at the University at ‘The Sound of Breaking Glass’ event where writer and international advisor Cleo Thompson will crack the major elements behind progression of women in the workplace.

If you are thinking about a career in law, don’t miss the opportunity to network with five experienced women lawyers, who have followed diverse career paths, at the Women in Law event, to help you prepare for your career.

The experience of international students and staff at the University of Southampton will be explored by Ines Teresa-Palacio who is leading a ‘Panel discussion’ with international women at the University.

Professor Geraldine Richmond from the University of Oregon joins us to host the prestigious Campbell Lecture on 1 March 2011 to talk about ‘increasing the stature and leadership opportunities of women in science and technology’
