We are looking at new ways to represent mathematics in photographic posters displayed in the Mathematics building for the interest and enjoyment of our students‚ staff and visitors.
All University of Southampton students and staff are invited to participate in a Photograph Competition on the theme of ‘Mathematics in the world around us’. We want you to use your imagination and your photographic skills to produce photographs that you believe have a link with the concept of mathematics‚ in any of its forms. We are particularly interested in photographs that have a theme local to Southampton‚ though this is not a requirement to enter the competition.
There is a £200 prize for the overall winner, with £100 and £50 awarded for second and third prizes respectively.
