Nominations for the 2011 Vice-Chancellor's Awards are now open.

Do you know of a colleague who has acted with exceptional dedication‚ enhancing the social‚ cultural well–being of staff and students of the University?

Do you feel that a team has significantly enhanced the reputation of their academic unit or service or the University’s reputation locally‚ nationally or internationally?

Does someone spring to mind who has made an outstanding contribution to the University above and beyond that which is expected from a person in his or her role?

If you know of a colleague or team who fit this description‚ why not help the University recognise they achievements by nominating them for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award?

Not withstanding the economic climate and the challenges that face the Higher Education sector, the University is committed to recognising and rewarding the outstanding contributions of staff.

The Awards, which are funded by the HEFCE Rewarding and Developing Staff initiative, will be interpreted in the broadest terms to include colleagues from all support services as well as academic staff. All of us, in all roles, have a part to play in the success of our University and we are interested in the outstanding achievements of all our staff.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony will be a formal event taking place on 29 July 2011, hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Don Nutbeam.

Nomination forms and further information can be found at southampton.likn.co/vcawards.

Alternatively, contact Naomi Reeves, Reward Officer on Extn 24054 or email [email protected]  for a paper nomination form.
