In September‚ students on a selection of programmes will be emailed details of the new CIP interdisciplinary modules which are going to be made available for them to choose as alternative optional modules should they so wish.
There are a number of programmes involved residing in the following Faculties:
— Social and Human Sciences
— Humanities
Four‚ half hour sessions have been arranged for staff to attend and gain an overview of the CIP, its purpose and what it means for the University. Staff will then hear more about the new interdisciplinary modules and what they will mean for our students, as well as some information about the graduate attributes that have been developed.
The aim of the presentations is to ensure staff are fully informed about the CIP and the new interdisciplinary modules to be able to answer student queries that will arise as a result of the email.
If you have contact with students, either in an academic or an administrative capacity, it will be important for you to attend a session. The details of the sessions are as follows:
• Dates: 15th July & 20th July
• Time: 12:15pm – 12:45pm & 13:00 – 13:30pm
• Venue: Hartley Suite, Highfield Campus
If you are unable to make any of these times, one of the sessions will be recorded and made available online. To receive a prompt when this recording is available, as well as to find out more about the CIP in general, email [email protected]. Colleagues will also be asked to disseminate information.
