Professor Judith Petts‚ Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences‚ has been awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours list.
She has been recognised for services to science‚ contributing particularly in recent years as a member of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution. Professor Petts comments‚ “I am delighted to receive this honour. I have always valued being able to contribute to the development of science that can impact on policy. To be honoured for doing something I enjoy is a wonderful bonus.”
Professor Judith Petts joined the University in October 2010, having previously held the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Birmingham.
