The deadline for expressions of interest in developing a new interdisciplinary module is Wednesday 11th January 2012. To find out more about what will be expected of new modules and to put your name forward‚ please email [email protected]
We need more modules if we are to offer choice across the whole University and so Peter Smith, Associate Dean (Education), Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, is keen to hear from academics who are interested in getting involved. New modules must show certain characteristics and funds will be available to assist with development by, for example, paying for teaching buy-out or learning materials development.
Under curriculum innovation phase 1, students on 37 programmes have been selecting from a menu made up of newly-commissioned modules, language modules and a range of other modules that disciplines have made available. The response from students has been very positive and those that have signed up will be starting the modules next month.
We want to extend our curriculum innovation work by offering more interdisciplinary modules to our students, giving them more choice and flexibility.
Remember, the deadline for expressions of interest in developing a new module is Wednesday 11th January 2012, just two days away.
