Turner Sims are giving away two pairs of tickets for each of the four concerts taking place there this weekend as part of Southampton’s Musical Alphabet.
As part of the BBC’s celebration of live music across the country counting down to the London 2012 Festival, Turner Sims have coordinated Southampton’s Musical Alphabet – taking you from A – Z in 26 hours over Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 March.
Of the many musical events and activities happening across Southampton, four stunning concerts will take place at Turner Sims. Saturday afternoon sees acclaimed UK violinist Chloe Hanslip join forces with Southampton Youth Orchestra, whilst the evening belongs to virtuoso jazz pianist Julian Joseph and his Trio. The Brodsky Quartet light up Sunday afternoon with an unusual concert, bringing their ‘Wheel of Fortune’ comprising 40 of their favourite pieces, giving the audience chance to spin the wheel and choose the programme. Finally Sunday evening sees the celebrated Equivox Trio team up with saxophone ensemble Saxophony and percussion ensemble Supersonic, finishing the weekend with a high energy performance!
