Nominations for the 2012 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards open on 1 March 2012

The University is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards. Could you nominate a winner this year?

  • Does someone spring to mind who has made an outstanding contribution to the University above and beyond that which is expected from a person in his or her role?
  • Do you know of a colleague who has acted with exceptional dedication‚ enhancing the social or cultural well–being of staff and/or students of the University?
  • Do you feel that a team has significantly enhanced the reputation of their academic unit or service or the University’s reputation locally‚ nationally or internationally?

Each of us has a part to play in the success of our University and we are committed to recognising and rewarding achievements of individuals and teams across the University.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, which are funded by the HEFCE Rewarding and Developing Staff initiative, will be interpreted in the broadest terms to include colleagues from all professional services and academic units.

Any member of staff can nominate. So if you know someone who fits one or more of our broad criteria, please nominate them this year.

Nomination forms and further information can be found at southampton.likn.co/vcawards. Alternatively, contact Geraldine Witt, Reward Officer on extension 24054 or email [email protected]  for a paper nomination form.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is 30 April 2012 at 5pm.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony will be a formal event taking place on 27 July 2012, hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Don Nutbeam.
