Using Meta-Analytic Research Syntheses to scope Pedagogical Development aimed at improving student attitude and achievement in school mathematics and science

Synthesising findings from thr TIMSS AND PISA international study series illuminates the impact of recent systemic reform on aspects of student attainment and attitude in the English educational system, and identifies key weaknesses. Triangulating recent meta-analytic research syntheses identifies some promising lines of pedagogical development, and other lines deserving deeper analysis or further investigation.
