Expressions of interest in the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience)

Following the announcement that Professor Humphris will be leaving the University to take a new position at Imperial College, London, the Vice-Chancellor is seeking expressions of interest from within the University community in the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience).

Candidates should have sufficient management and leadership experience to be able to contribute effectively as a member of the University Executive Group, and to enjoy the confidence of the wider University community as an effective advocate for education. She/he should have a good knowledge of the University Strategy, a clear understanding of the University’s priorities for educational reform, and of our commitment to improving students’ experiences while at the University.

Interested candidates are invited to provide a short statement of interest and a short CV detailing relevant experience. Ideally, the successful candidate will be in a position to contribute to the QAA institutional review over the next three months.

Expressions of interest should be sent by email to Sarah Hollowbread ([email protected]), Deputy Director of Human Resources, by midday on Friday 3 August. Interviews will be arranged with short-listed candidates soon after this closing date.

The appointment of a Pro Vice-Chancellor is subject to consultation with Senate and approval by the University Council.
