Reminder: Staff Party and Lectures today! (27 July)

A quick reminder that our Staff Party takes place between 14.00 and 16.00 on the Highfield Campus tomorrow today!

You will be able to collect your token for your first glass of Pimms or cloudy lemonade from a booth outside the Students’ Union shop from 10am tomorrow. We’d strongly encourage you to collect your token early, to avoid queues before the party starts.

Full details, including a question and answer document, can be found here.

Attend one of the Staff Lectures between 9:30am and 12:15

The lectures provide a chance for staff to find out more about some of our 60 successes from the colleagues involved in the research. Attend one or stay for all three. The line-up is:

9.30am – Dr Graeme Earl from Archaeology delivers his lecture: ‘Portus and the Digital Humanities: Multidisciplinary Research in Cultural Heritage’

10.30am – Professor Ajit Shenoi, Director of the new Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute, delivers: ‘Light… but strong and safe? The design of plastic ships and boats’

11.30am – Professor Hazel Inskip from Medicine introduces her group’s research: ‘The Southampton Women’s Survey: from observation to interventions to improve health’

Full details can be found here.
