This thought-provoking day will provide you with the opportunity to learn and engage in discussion about various landscapes in literature, and introduce you to a variety of new ideas.

Talks include:

Somewhere beyond the sea: Europe’s Imagined Indies in the late Middle Ages – Dr Marianne O’Doherty

Pirate Havens, Reproductive Fantasies, Mythical Birds and Tidal Waves – Dr Stephanie Jones

Forty Shades of Green: Landscapes of History, Memory and Imagining in Irish Writing – Dr Barry Sloan

The Country House Novel – Dr Will May

Southampton on Film – Dr James Jordan

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided, and places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
