This is the first of many events being hosting at the University throughout October to celebrate Black History Month. Dr Morgan Dalphinis is a renowned academic and the author of several publications on Creole languages and the Oral tradition in Language.
Come along and find out about the contribution made by British Black Creole speakers to contemporary English and look at Creole’s origins and dynamics. Explore the ways in which Black language (especially Creole as a mainly oral language) has been changing contemporary British communication and Culture.
Black History Month has evolved over the years to promote knowledge of Black History and positive black contributions and heighten confidence and awareness of cultural heritage.
