The Insider Career Mentoring Programme‚ run by Career Destinations, matches those with insider work knowledge and experience with students at the University.
The Insider Career Mentoring Programme aims to support the student to become more employer savvy by developing career sector knowledge and relevant employability skills.
Lisa, who works at the University, mentored a final year student. She comments, ‘My Mentee said I have increased her confidence and knowledge in how to find a job. I am happy to have been able to help someone with their future. I wish I had a Mentor when I was a student at University!’
The scheme runs from November-June each year. Group Induction and Training Sessions for new mentors are 2-5pm on 14 December 2011 and 18 January 2012.
