Documentaries can provide great insight into a topic by giving a face to some of the issues which can seem abstract in the articles and books that we read for research purposes. The aim of the Global South Forum film night is to bring people together in a social setting where discussions about development policies can stem from watching a documentary film focusing on one of the GSF research themes (Millennium Development Goals; Technological innovation for development; Migration and urbanization in the south; Families and intergenerational support; Conflict and identity; Economic and trade policies).
The film night will take place every fortnight on Friday from October 2012 until July 2013.
