Join us for this special weekday evening preview of the exhibition, followed by a discussion from 6pm with the artist and Professor Stephen Foster, Director, John Hansard Gallery. No booking required. Stephen has previously interviewed the artist extensively and wrote the recent essay “The bit parts and the major players in the entourage of Jochem Hendricks”, featured in a new publication accompanying the exhibition.
German artist Jochem Hendricks (b. 1959) is known for his works that address complex moral and ethical issues. The objects he produces are beautifully realised, yet beneath the surface lie elaborate backstories, which – at times – test the boundaries of legality.
