Free British Sign Language session for University staff

Teach Me Sign, a local company specialising in British Sign Language courses and deaf awareness training, are opening their doors to University staff for a free British Sign Language session.

The session will be 2 hours of fun filled learning and an invaluable insight to the world of deaf culture and British Sign Language.

This has been created by the company’s founder Ahmed Ali, who said: “I have been teaching British Sign Language for 8 years, and felt the importance of bringing it home to my own town Southampton. As a profoundly deaf person myself, I sincerely hope that the staff of Southampton share my vision of bridging communication barriers between hearing and deaf people in Southampton

The British Sign Language sessions will be available to staff on:

  • Monday 3rd December 2012, 6:30pm-8:30pm
  • Tuesday 4th December 2012, 6:30pm-8:30pm

Please note that both sessions are now full.

Light refreshment provided and parking available

The session will take place at Teach Me Sign’s own establishment at:
