Help Southampton City Council to ensure their work supports equality

Southampton City Council has a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to think about how their work supports equality. The Equality Act covers people who feel they have one, or more, Protected Characteristics. In the last few months Southampton City Council has been working on updating its Equality Policy and they would like your feedback on their proposed actions.

They have created a questionnaire that they would like you to complete here:
www.southampton.gov.uk/surveys/equalities

There is also a version in Word which you can download from here: www.southampton.gov.uk/council-partners/consult/current/equalitiesconsult2013.aspx

They are also holding three consultation meetings in the Civic Centre. These meetings are to give people a chance to ask questions and to give feedback face to face.

The sessions will be held on:

Monday 28 January – from 6pm to 8pm
Tuesday 29 January – from 2pm to 4pm
Monday 4 February – from 10am to 12pm

Please contact Carol Harwood on 023 8083 2638 or email [email protected] if you would like to reserve a place on one of these sessions.

Please note that this consultation will end on 10 March.
