You still have time to express an interest in developing a new interdisciplinary module under the auspices of Curriculum Innovation as the closing date for modules to run in AY 2013/14 is Monday 14 January. Please email [email protected] if you would like to know more.
This year 774 students have opted to take one of the new Curriculum Innovation (CI) modules, so the programme has started well. This call for new modules comes as we are actively looking for modules to improve the list on offer to make it better still. Support, including some funding for teaching buy out and other development costs, is available to colleagues who want to get involved.
To find out more about the experiences of those already running CI modules, take a look at the Getting Involved page on our website southampton.likn.co/cip/staffcurriculum/get_involved.page
If you have ideas that you would like to develop over a longer period of time, please still tell us about them as soon as you can so that we can plan for future student numbers. In addition to developing new modules, there is also the option to open up existing modules more widely to students from other disciplines and the CI team can also discuss this further with anyone who is interested.
To discuss any of your ideas for getting involved, please contact Dr Peter Smith, University Director of Education (Curriculum Innovation), or email [email protected].
