Diamond Jubilee International Visiting Fellowship scheme

In case you missed the announcement before the Winter break, here is a reminder that the University is inviting nominations for the new Diamond Jubilee International Visiting Fellowship scheme.

The scheme is intended to:

–          further internationalise our campuses and raise the profile of the University globally.

–          initiate and consolidate links with the world’s best universities and our strategic international partners.

–         enrich the intellectual landscape of University and the wider community.

–         encourage and consolidate international research collaborations, particularly those allied to the USRGs and institutes, and to ultimately leverage external funding to enable world leading and world-changing research.

Potential fellows need to be able to demonstrate an impressive research record and must be nominated by members of academic staff at the University.

The deadline for applications is 2pm on 15 February 2013 and you can find more information including the application form, criteria and guidelines at southampton.likn.co/international/wun/visitingfellows.html.

If you have any questions or would like to nominate a fellow, please get in touch with Elisa Lawson in the International Office at [email protected] to discuss your proposal.
