Success from University online health and safety course

The University is committed to preventing injury and illness at work, and to using straightforward and sensible, health and safety systems to achieve this.

Training is a vital part of the University’s  approach, and the ‘Introduction to Health and Safety’ course provided by the University’s Safety and Occupational Health service is a great example of the effective use of online learning.

Over 5,000 staff and first-year postgraduate researchers completed this training in 2012. This demonstrates how seriously the University takes the health and safety of its staff and students, and how the University and its Safety and Occupational Health service are seeking innovative ways to advance this.

We would like to thank everyone who completed the training, and to those who provided constructive feedback.
