Steve Chisnall,  Director of Strategy and Planning

Steve ChisnallSteve joined the University in 2012, after an extensive career in the Royal Airforce and most recently the private sector.  In the MOD, his main focus was national and international security policy and strategy.  When he left in 2008, Steve applied his knowledge to help set up a spin-out from King’s College London using scenario planning for strategic decision making in the health sector. He became CEO of another start-up company, AOI, in 2011, working with universities to help them transform their business processes, making him ideal to lead our University in its strategy and planning.  Steve believes there are many great opportunities for universities in the current changing landscape, and hopes to help the University of Southampton realise some of these, nationally and globally.

Below is a recent internal appointment:

Sue Martin, Associate Director for Alumni Relations

Sue MartinSue joined the University in May 2008 and brings valuable experience of our organisation from a variety of roles, most recently as the Faculty Operating Officer for Medicine. Before joining the University, Sue worked in a number of different roles for the UK Border Agency and as a diplomat overseas in Nigeria and Cyprus.

We welcome and congratulate all other staff who are in new roles and we look forward to meeting you soon, and if you know of anyone that has recently joined or moved jobs that could feature here, please email [email protected]
