Get involved in Multidisciplinary Research Week 2013

The Multidisciplinary Research Week (17  March – 22 March) is full of interactive events, it is open to staff and students and aims to showcase different aspects of multidisciplinary work taking place across the University.

Highlights this year will include; blue sky thinking on sustainability at the inaugural TEDx University of Southampton; top academics presenting challenging arguments on ‘the brain and behaviour’; an intriguing talk on how we can improve performance of hearing aids at ‘Your Brain at the Cocktail Party’; a dynamic workshop that will allow participants to use sustainable materials to create something new and a talk by world famous Sustainomics guru Professor Mohan Munasinghe.

Explore some examples of what new applications in imaging science at the University can reveal in areas such as archaeology, health sciences and biological systems.

Find out why one of our researchers has wired up TV presenter Ben Fogle at ‘A Human Research Vessel across the Atlantic’.

The week will culminate in a celebration of United Nations World Water Day. This water themed day will offer insights into the global water crisis and will include an explosive mix of talks by our top academics and the showing of the seminal film Flow.
