Participants needed – £10 to help climate change research focusing on home heating use

Are you are between 21 and 75, a native English speaker and have used central heating (with radiators) for five or more years?

If so, you could help our research by taking part in a study funded by EPSRC. We are investigating the different ways people use central heating in the home, to inform strategies to help people ‘optimize’ their energy consumption.

Each session will last approximately one hour, and will take place during office hours, between 22 February and 8 March, on the University campus.

The study involves you taking part in a 20 minute computer simulation, followed by a short questionnaire, then a 20 minute interview (including a paper-based activity). We will not be asking you about your personal energy consumption, only collecting data on how you respond to the simulation.

At the end of the session you will be paid £10 in cash, to compensate you for your time.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, please contact Kirsten Revell([email protected])
