The Southampton Blackout team is looking for students to get involved

Southampton Blackout is back! We need the help of students for the University’s annual energy audit.

By taking part students will get a FREE HOODIE, FREE PIZZA and exclusive entry to a BLACKOUT PARTY at the Bridge Bar, home of the BLACKOUT COCKTAIL! Blackout will also earn you Graduate passport points, add something to your CV and will help to make the University more sustainable.

To sign up please fill out the sign-up form which can be accessed through the link below.

This year Blackout is going bigger.

We’ll be turning off every non-essential electrical item across Highfield, Avenue and Winchester campuses. For those of you at Winchester campus, transport will be provided between WSA and the Bridge Bar.

Last year we saved over £1600 and enough energy to power five family homes for a year in one weekend. Blackout plays a crucial role in reducing unnecessarily high energy bills by encouraging staff and students to apply more sustainable behaviour at University.

Last year’s results show that we could save over £200,000 annually!
