On the 14 March the University and the Students’ Union is holding the first ever joint clothes swap. Bring in your old unwanted clothes and swap them for some entirely new free items that can brighten up your wardrobe. This will all be taking place in our very own swap shop – a redecorated Cube within SUSU, which will be complete with changing rooms, live music and a TV screen.
What is it for?
This event is for all staff and students. We’re accepting donations of:
- Men’s clothes, shoes, accessories
- Women’s clothes, shoes, accessories
- Children’s clothes and shoes: this an opportunity for parents to clear out any outgrown clothes or pick up some free clothes for your children
- Any fancy dress costumes you’ve finished with and want to pass on!
How does it work?
08.30- 11.00: Drop off your (clean and in an acceptable condition) donations at the Cube, SUSU building. You’ll be given a token for each donated item (up to a maximum of ten).
12.00-3pm: Swapping! Exchange your tokens for new items.
What if I don’t have anything to donate?
From 2pm – 3pm you’ll be able to buy items for the bargain prices of £1.00 for clothes/shoes items and just 50p for any accessories. Our prices won’t be beaten!
Any money raised will be donated to RAG and leftover items after the event will be donated to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
