As part of the University of Southampton’s Distinguished Lecture Series, we are pleased to welcome Ana Botín, CEO of Santander UK to the University on Wednesday 17 April.
Ana Botín was appointed CEO of Santander UK in December 2010. Santander UK is one of Britain’s leading personal financial services companies and one of the largest providers of mortgages and savings in the UK. Ms Botín has a long track record in the financial industry and was recently voted number three on Radio 4’s, Woman’s Hour Power List 2013.
The University of Southampton signed an agreement with Santander Universities in May 2008. As a result of this partnership we have implemented various scholarship schemes for students and staff. Santander is probably the most influential private funding body in Latin America, Spain and Portugal and our relationship with Santander has helped to raise our profile in Latin America, helped us to recruit very high quality students and attract relevant academic collaborations.
Ana will deliver her lecture ‘The future of Banking: a customer-led revolution?’ at 1.15 in Room 1007 (Lecture Room C), Building 58, Highfield Campus.
This is a free lecture open to staff and students. To book your place at the lecture please register online at http://tinyurl.com/AnaBotin.
