Technical innovations for SUSU General Meeting

Wednesday 8 May at 1:15 in the Bridge sees the most important meeting of the year for Your Students’ Union – the SUSU Annual General Meeting.

Any student can attend and vote at this meeting, where they set policies for what SUSU should be achieving for the year ahead, as well as looking back on this year. You can check out all the policies that have been submitted to the meeting by checking out the AGM part of the SUSU website.

There have been two technical innovations this year to help more students engage with this process.

1)      Students have been polling on which ideas they’d like to be discussed first at the meeting, which you can see the results of here.

2)      An online system for students to register a proxy vote. This means that you can take part in the meeting from anywhere around the world, voting online and watching live through SUSUtv. This system also means that you can register your preferences before the meeting – so even if you’re busy at the time, you can still make a difference.

Register your proxy vote online now and help shape SUSU’s direction for next year.
