Transport for South Hampshire (TfSH) is looking for participants to take part in a study to raise the quality of bus travel and change the perception of bus services in the region.
As a part of the monitoring and evaluation process, the University’s Centre for Sustainable Travel Choices is conducting a focus group study targeting non-bus users. The study aims to understand why people do not use local buses and what can be done to help people to choose more sustainable travel modes in their local area.
If you are over 16 years old travelling to/from South Hampshire and have rarely used local buses, you are eligible to take part in this study. The focus group meeting will last about 1.5 to 2 hours and during the meeting you will have an opportunity to talk about barriers to using local bus services and recommendations for their improvement. The meeting will be audio-recorded and transcribed for the analysis.
After the meeting you will receive a £20 gift voucher for your time and travel expenses and be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad. The analysis results will be included in a report prepared for Transport for South Hampshire that will influences future transport policy in South Hampshire.
Focus group meetings will be held in Highfield Campus, University of Southampton on 7 June. You can sign up for this study at a webpage, https://www.isurvey.soton.ac.uk/7492 or by sending us an email, [email protected].
