Registrar, Tessa Harrison, has been elected as Vice – Chair (Chair Elect) of the Association of University Administrators (AUA). The AUA exists to advance and promote the professional recognition and development of all who work in professional services roles in higher education and to be an authoritative advocate and champion for the sector.
Tessa says of the news, “Since my appointment to the role of Registrar (at Southampton) I have consistently talked about the importance of building strong external networks and the importance of setting and maintaining the highest professional standards. I am looking forward to being able to make connections and provide access to networks which colleagues will undoubtedly benefit from. This is a terrific opportunity for raising the profile of the University of Southampton.”
Tessa will take on her role as Vice-Chair for AUA, alongside her work at Southampton as Registrar, from 1 August.
