Enabling Services, in partnership with the Widening Participation team are hosting a Training Day aimed at those Supporting Transition into Higher Education for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or a Mental Health condition on 10 July.

Over 80 colleagues from the Wessex Group of 6th Form and FE Colleges and other key partners will be attending the day which follows a successful first conference last year. Feedback was very positive last year, and the topic this year was requested by delegates. Attendees will be able to listen and meet professionals working and supporting students in the field, and participate in interactive workshops delivered by staff in Enabling Services and Residences.

Transition to Higher Education is a key time for our students and the expertise that is available across the University to support students as they make that transition is a key factor in the recruitment and retention of all students who can find changes very challenging.
