Throughout its history, the University of Southampton has been proud to host a very many international visiting researchers. They have enriched the intellectual landscape on campus and have helped facilitate links to their home universities globally. The University values its role as a gateway to the world. So, to encourage further international interaction of this kind, the University established, in its Jubilee year 2012, the prestigious Diamond Jubilee International Visiting Fellowships.
