This year the Welcome Project has launched a series of monthly “keep warm” emails that have been sent in May, June and July, with the intention of keeping the excitement about coming to Southampton alive in the period between accepting offers and having places confirmed.
We have sent two different campaigns, one to undergraduates and one to postgraduates, to ensure that the messaging has been appropriately tailored and is relevant to the audience. These emails have already received a great response, with prospective students tweeting the emails and commenting how much they hope they are successful in coming to Southampton in September.
We hope this initiative will not only add to the great welcome experience students will have at Southampton but also, through encouraging conversion, can contribute toward the University’s strategy of enhancing student recruitment.
