Dear colleagues,
On 15 August, students across the country will receive their A level results. This is, of course, an anxious time for them and their families as they wait. The University is committed to making the Confirmation, Clearing and Adjustment processes as clear and reassuring as possible for all of its applicants.
I am pleased to say that, because of the enormous effort of many colleagues across the University, we are much better placed than we were at this point last year. Needless to say, the smooth running of the Confirmation, Clearing and Adjustment processes is crucial to our aspiration to maximise the recruitment of talented students who can benefit from the excellent research-led education we offer.
Part of this work has focussed on making it easier for talented students who approach us in Clearing or Adjustment to understand their options. To this end we have designed a print and digital advertising campaign in key publications that will commence on 15 August, which will sign post them to our new, dedicated web pages southampton.likn.co/ambition.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of staff who have contributed to our recruitment and admissions work so far this year – and to thank in advance all those who will be working hard to bring the current recruitment cycle to a successful conclusion.
