Over the past six months, colleagues from across the University have been working on developing our first MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). These will be released later this autumn and next spring and provide the opportunity to engage with huge numbers of learners in a high-quality learning experience.
The courses will be fully accessible on tablet and mobile, so students will be able to study wherever, and whenever they want. We are working in partnership with FutureLearn who are providing a platform for institutions to deliver these courses to a mass audience.
Today FutureLearn have announced that they will be launching details about the first of these MOOCs (Massively Open Online Courses) mid-September, with our initial offering following not long after.
Signing up is free, and open to all, but priority for the first few courses will be given to those already registered.
