The University Library offers a one-to-one deskside training service for staff and research postgraduates only.
We aim to provide training and guidance in the use of e-journals, e-books, bibliographic databases and many of the information resources available on the web – all at a time and place convenient to you. Typically we can spend from ten minutes up to one hour in a session. We recognise that researchers need access to a wide range of online resources, many of which are provided by the Library – yet researchers are also extremely busy, so finding the time to get advanced training in everything that the Library has to offer can be difficult. Our deskside training service formalises the training that we have always offered, and gives you the opportunity to have training in a location convenient to you – whether that’s in the Library, your own office or by remote connection.
